Invisible Bodies: Between Pain and Power is a cultural exhibition that brings together multiple languages, including visual arts (photography, collage), artistic performance, video art, video testimonies, immersive workshops, and panel discussions, exploring the subjectivities and experiences of Black women, and how their individualities are forged from shared, collective experiences. We speak of the pain that affects us, but also of the power of our bodies. Corporealities that perform art, affection, movement, and ancestry.
The exhibition features 3 thematic sections: Sea, Freshwater, and Winds. The exhibition will be held in both in-person and online formats during March and April 2021.
Artists : Quézia Lopes, Naira Évine Soares, Pam Nogueira, Daiane Dias, Carol Coelho, Giulia Maria Reis, Danielle Anatólio, Thais Ayomide, Bárbara Assis, Flaviane Damasceno and Danielly Caetano.
Concept and Curation: Quézia Lopes
